Some Celebrities with prepper Interests

It’s easy for folks like us to be lumped together. But being a prepper isn’t a personality type. Not all preppers are the same, despite what many people think. And if you need a good example of that, check this out: here are some of the most well known celebrities that also have an interest in some prepper activities.

We’re not talking about folks known FOR survival, like Bear Grylls. We’re talking about movie stars, athletes, and TV personalities.

Nathan Fillion

Best known as Malcom Reynolds in Firefly, this actor has worked with plenty of folks on the big screen. But beyond that, he also enjoys entertaining the idea of zombie apocalypse survival. On  an episode of Conan Tonight, Fillion revealed that he taught himself how to weld so that he could modify his SUV with armor plates to survive a zombie army.

Jamie Lee Curtis

She’s been on the silver screen for a long time, which isn’t easy. From the Halloween films from the 80s to recent films like Knives Out, she’s one hell of an actress. Outside of work, she enjoys playing video games and watching anime. She also is a huge advocate for the Red Cross, who has consistently pushed to teach the public about preparedness. While not as direct of a prepper, she at least respects the idea and process.

Ryan Seacrest

If you consume any amount of TV or radio, then it’s hard to avoid encountering Seacrest in some capacity. The media personality is best known for hosting the American Idol series, but he’s participated as a host in numerous other shows and events since. While he doesn’t show it in any capacity, the National Enquirer outed him as a prepper back in 2017. We know that OPSEC and secrecy is an important aspect of prepping, so being outed like that isn’t super cool. But it’s also not like we intend to go bum a spot in Ryan Seacrest’s private bunker.

Ronda Rousey

She may not be as deep in the spotlight as she once was, but Ronda Rousey is still a force to be reckoned with. This UFC champion has previously explained that she finds the level of comfort in society a little uneasy. She describes the common man’s survival plan as “the grocery store,” and that the idea of depending on that is scary. So while we don’t know exactly HOW she preps, it certainly sounds like she has a plan.

While not exactly the prime example of your average citizen, they’re still different people with different personalities, perspectives, and interests. And that’s the whole point. Anyone can be a prepper, and people can have different degrees of prepping, from a lot to only some mild DIY skills.
